What is the Jetson AGX Orin Development Kit and What Does It Include?
The Jetson AGX Orin Development Kit is the new onboard computer designed by NVIDIA based on its latest module: the Jetson AGX Orin module. This supercomputer is 8 times more powerful than the Jetson AGX Xavier card (see our Orin/Xavier comparison), with computing speed up to 275 teraoperations per second (64 GB version).
The kit comes in a casing of 11 cm on each side and just over 7 cm high, including:
- the AGX Orin module itself, which handles data computing and graphics computing;
- a reference carrier board equipped with multiple connectors (PCIe, M.2, USB, RJ45, as well as GPIO connector, UART, SPI, CAN, etc.), as well as a MIPI camera module.
What's New with the Jetson AGX Orin Development Kit?
The unveiling of the Jetson AGX Orin Development Kit by NVIDIA offers new prospects for researchers and designers in various fields of robotic innovation. It is indeed 8 times faster than its predecessor, the Jetson AGX Xavier module. However, the two products remain compatible at the pin level, with relatively close costs.
What's new with the AGX Orin kit?
- An unprecedented computing speed offering new possibilities in edge computing and AI development.
- A model that pushes the boundaries of eco-design (between 15 and 60 W).
- Dimensions as compact as ever for easy design.
