OAK-D-SR: Short-Range Precision
The OAK-D-SR depth camera focuses on improved short-range precision compared to the standard OAK-D.
It is particularly suitable for applications requiring close-range depth and details, such as quality control or automated manufacturing, and proves highly effective on robots or articulated arms.
It uses the OAK-SoM-Pro for a compact overall design and is optimized to operate between 30 cm and 1 m. With 4 TOPS processing power, it can run any AI model, offering a range of computer vision features. The design is open-source, allowing for custom modifications.
Main Features
- 4 TOPS processing power (1.4 TOPS for AI)
- Run any AI model, even custom-designed ones (models need to be converted)
- Encoding: H.264, H.265, MJPEG - 4K/30FPS, 1080P/60FPS
- Computer vision: distortion correction, resizing, cropping via ImageManip, edge detection, feature tracking
- Stereo depth perception with filtering, post-processing, RGB depth alignment, and high configurability
- IMU BMI270, 6-axis sensor combining accelerometer and gyroscope
- Object tracking: 2D and 3D tracking with ObjectTracker
- USB2 / USB3 for power and communication
Two Available Versions
The OAK-D SR version uses a USB-C cable for communication and power. It supports USB2 and USB3 (5Gbps / 10Gbps).
The OAD-D SR PoE version uses Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for communication and power. This camera emphasizes improved short-range precision compared to the standard OAK-D SR and expands our range of robotic vision solutions. It uses a VGA time-of-flight (ToF) sensor, enabling accurate depth measurement in a scene, resulting in more precise focus and enhanced low-light performance. OAK-D SR PoE cameras are housed in a robust, IP67-rated casing, required for industrial and outdoor use.
